Locks on flat entrance doors

Hi

My daughter has moved into a flat within a converted pub which was finished at the start of this year.

There are 5 flats in total and all of a key operated lock on the front door and the landlord is saying they are fine & he is allowed to install them.

I was under the impression that they had to be locks that didn’t need a key to unlock from the inside or at I thinking about something else?

As long as the lock is as specified in the door certificate then its not an issue

I believe you are thinking of a fire exit.
