Tonyc8310 Posted September 2, 2021 Report Posted September 2, 2021 I have recently had some FRA's undertaken in Care Homes. The assessor has put down that lux level testing must be carried out at night in the event of a power failure. If the lighting is to BS:5266 2016, then would this suffice or are we required to carry out lux readings and how often? Thanks Quote
AnthonyB Posted September 10, 2021 Report Posted September 10, 2021 If sufficient units have been placed at the right internals for their spacing tables in order to achieve the required lux level and there is evidence of this you should be fine. However if, based on observations and lack of other documentary evidence, the assessor suspects there may be insufficient or poorly spaced fittings and/or they appear to be fitted to the older editions of the standard (with far lesser lux requirements) they would be reasonable to advise that the system needs verification.
