Guest J Stephens Posted July 21, 2021 Report Posted July 21, 2021 We have a client who has been on a Fire Door Course and was told that all installers must be certified under the new Fire Regs. Is this true? We have always known it that installers must be competent but there is no legal requirement to be officially certified. If this has changed, what is the best certification we should look to obtain as a company? Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 27, 2021 Report Posted July 27, 2021 No it isn't (yet - may become so for High Rise Residential Buildings) but is still recommended. You could look for The BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme or the similar FIRAS scheme. Quote
Neil ashdown Posted July 30, 2021 Report Posted July 30, 2021 There are UKAS accredited fire door installation schemes for companies and separately there are fire door installation training courses for individuals. Quote
