FD30 intumescent hinge packers

Hi,

On a new install of a FD30 door set, would you expect intumescent packers to be fitted on the hinges?

FD60 i would say yes, however on a FD30 i'm unsure, and all the information i can find states refer to the manufactors instruction.

Any help would be useful.

That's right, in order to find out what type and size of hinges as well as whether intumescent gaskets are required you would need to check the door leaf/door-set manufacturer's installation data sheet.   I note that its a new installation, so the manufacturer's installation data sheet will be available.

There is no requirement to fit intumescent packers on a FD30 door, however any packers fitted should be
