Guest bletb2000@aol.com Posted November 25, 2020 Report Posted November 25, 2020 My Ei151 ionisation smoke alarm is 25 years old. About 10 years ago I renewed the batteries. It has now started spontaneously going off, for no reason. When I press the test button all appears to be working correctly. Any advice would be appreciated Quote
Harry Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 Hi, smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years, as beyond that the sensors start to deteriorate. So you were lucky so far. Harry Quote
