Guest Commander Andy B Posted November 12, 2020 Report Posted November 12, 2020 Hi all, new to this. I recently inspected a two storey property. The building has one flat on each floor. They were built circa 1950s as purpose built accommodation for the e elderly and there has been no material or structural changes up to now. I saw the smoke alarm which isn’t ld3 located very close to the wall. Does anyone know the required distance detector has to be from wall when using lacors. thanks in advance. Quote
AnthonyB Posted November 12, 2020 Report Posted November 12, 2020 300mm. Both of those are in dead space and would either activate slowly or not at all, however the light fitting is a large obstruction requiring suitable spacing and if it's a small lobby there may be no ideal location and the current one is the best of a bad lot.
