Guest JRS Posted November 7, 2020 Report Posted November 7, 2020 Hi, wondering if anybody could help please? My neighbours do no like our kitchen extractor and have covered the outside vent up with a wooden box. The wooden box is on their land in their front garden. I am concerned that this may be a fire hazard. Could somebody advise please? I have added an aerial photo from our upstairs window and a photo taken from our street. Thanks Quote
Tom Sutton Posted November 11, 2020 Report Posted November 11, 2020 Without a full on site survey it would not possible to give a satisfactory answer, also I would be very reluctant to get involved in a neighbour dispute. Quote
firefly Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 Why do you think it's a fire hazard? Are you concerned about smoke or flames entering the vent if someone set fire to the wood? I won't comment on the potential fire hazard, but what's their problem with the vent? How can they think it's acceptable to attach something to your wall? I assume you live in England? Quote
