Guest Singh Posted June 25, 2019 Report Posted June 25, 2019 I have a pub in which i have recently put sleeping accommodation upstairs. I have a fire risk assessment in place for the building as a pub but now i am going to have the upstairs as sleeping accom, do i no need to have the whole building risk assessed or can i just have a separate one for the rooms upstairs? Tom Sutton Posted July 3, 2019 Report Posted July 3, 2019 As you are the Responsible Person for the whole of the building the FRA would have to cover the whole of the building, because fire safety that affects the lower floors will also affect the upper floors. However the fire risk assessor would only have to review the lower floor accomodation, if it has been done recently, and a full FRA on the upper floor accommodation. Quote
