Replace unit on smoke alarm Ei141

Hi

 

I am replacing the battery on an Ionisation smoke alarm model Ei141 as it is beeping.

I notice the cover says "replace by Sep 2020". Does that mean the unit or just the battery?

I cannot see anything in the manual which explains this.

This might just be a low battery. There is an instruction video showing how to replace the battery in a Ei141
