Guest Guest Ben Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 I have an Ei134 smoke alarm fitted in my flat which is beeping away merrily. I assume it’s a low battery warning so I’m trying to take it apart and replace the battery. Can’t take it apart for the life of me. Instructions on the outside say to ‘release clip and rotate’. I’ve found videos for later models where the clip is on the opposite side to the hinge (which makes sense) and just needs the clip pulling out and the alarm opens up. (Later models use a screw driver to open but this doesn’t look like one of those). Anyone remember the 134 and the trick to open it up? Thanks in advance. Quote
