Guest Mohan Singh Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 Please let me know how to disable E141 for temporary purpose as switching off the main power for fire alard didn't worked for me. Quote
Harry Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Hi Mohan, you just need to remove the alarm from the base and take the battery out. Press the test button to drain the residual power. Here is a video to show you how to remove the Ei141from the ceiling. If you can still hear beeps they will be from a carbon monoxide alarm with a low battery nearby. Harry Quote

Safelincs Posted June 1, 2019 Report Posted June 1, 2019 Hi, when the alarm is removed, the base plate design is such that there is very little possibility to come in contact with the electrical elements. With the unit being on the ceiling there is also little chance of a child poking a screw driver into the alarm base plate. Maybe you could temporarily cover the base with a piece of cardbard while you are waiting for your new alarm. Harry Quote
