Guest Bernadette J
We have just fitted an external steel fire escape to a office building consisting of ground and first floor. The fire escape has been built to approved document K requirements. Our client is now asking us for a certificate. What certificate is he referring to? Tom Sutton
As far as I am aware there is no such certificate what they want is proof that it is structurally sound so I would think an inspection report from a structural engineer would suffice, check with your client. AnthonyB
As it's Building Work for the Purposes of Building Regulations I would guess they want a completion certificate from Local Authority Building Control or the Approved Inspector the work was notified to?
