Guest Stuart Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 Hi All Please some advise , do privately owned garages/storerooms need emergency lighting if so to what degree. Recently wired basement possibly used to store materials, (15 mts x 21 mts). It has four 2 watt LED bulkhead emergency lights through the middle leading to the only fire exit door. Would this be sufficient as it illuminates to the route to the fire exit or would the whole area need to be flooded with light. The four bulkhead light can achieve 0.5 lux easily through the center line of the open space. Some advice please or where to look. Many Thanks Stu Quote
AnthonyB Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Open areas require 0.5 lux anti panic lighting, escape routes (corridors, stairs, etc) 1 lux on the centre line Quote
