LEDs on  emergency bulk head light on all the time.

Hello Gentlemen, 

my question is this, I have an emergency bulk head light in the hall and a few days ago all the LEDs came on, well they were on when I got up. There was no power cuts neither was the power turned off. I turned off the power and the LEDs stayed on and when I turned it on again they still stayed on. As I have no clue about this and no one touched the light can anyone tell me what they think might be going on with the light? It was put in new last year. Thanks very much.

It could be a fault has developed with the luminaire you should contact the person who installed it and have him/her to check it out.

Hi Tom, Just a quick question, the monthly checks for emergency lighting, can it be done by our maintenance staff or will we have to get an external contractor to carry out the checks

You can do it in house, it's simply putting them on test with the test switches and checking that they illuminate/stay illuminated correctly.
