Lance Posted April 28, 2017 Report Posted April 28, 2017 I have a house with 4 holiday let apartments. All self contained but the fire officer says HMO for fire reg purposes. That is fine by me. We have 3 floors each with an individual accommodation. I would like to know if a L2 system with a two wire, 8 zone, wireless connected, control panelled system would conform to BS standards. Each zone relating to a bedroom/apartment. Thanks in advance Quote
Tom Sutton Posted May 1, 2017 Report Posted May 1, 2017 If all the apartments are self contained then it is not a HMO but The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 does apply. You should study the following leaflet which should provide all the guidance you need, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/do-you-have-paying-guests if you require guidance on individual fire safety issues check out, http://www.firesafe.org.uk Quote
