EI141 three beeps

Hi, my EI smoke alarm is sounding three short beeps. I have changed the battery, hoovered out and wiped down the unit and checked the best before date (2021). The unit is not even a year old but it is sounding 3 beeps roughly every minute still. How do I solve this without resorting to using a hammer.

Hi Mark

EI alarms do not give three beeps. I suspect you might have a CO alarm nearby with low battery. To double check, take your alarm of the ceiling, press the test button to drain any charge still left. I assume you will still hear three beeps.
