Guest GraemeOg Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 I need to fit an opening mechanism to our village hall fire door. There is currently a crash bar (mechanical) and I wish to have a version which allows the door to be opened from the inside by the crash bar BUT opended externally by an electric lock activated by a coded key pad. I have the coded key pad and I just need to crash bar and lock Quote
Safelincs Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 Hi Graeme Usually, the crash/push bars and the code locks have to be of the same brand. We offer bars with matching locks Eg Exidor push bar range with matching access devices Harry Quote
AnthonyB Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 You can't use an electromechanical lock on an exit route where the release of the keep is required for exit and electromagnetic locks are not normally allowed on doors from places of assembly (such as your hall) where panic proof (push bar) exit is required. You need to buy a panic bolt with compatible outside access device - if you prefer code access to keys then Briton Panic Furniture has a coded version:http://www.safelincs.co.uk/briton-digital-code-lock-outside-access-device/?fGB=true&gclid=CM_Q_bOr99ECFcLGGwodT-MHkQ Quote
