Buckster_uk Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 Hi I have an EI mains operated heat alarm that I removed from its base a couple of weeks ago because it was causing me huge problems. I went on holiday and forgot to reattach it to the base, and this morning I woke up and found the CO2 alarm chirping every 30 seconds. Silly question but do I simply need to reattach the heat alarm unit for the chirping on the CO2 alarm to stop? Are they interconnected somehow or not is this just an issue with my CO2 alarm? Quote
Safelincs Posted June 8, 2016 Report Posted June 8, 2016 Hi While there are interlinked EI CO alarm models available these are very rare. Just replace the batteries in your CO alarm to fix the problem with chirping. If it is a longlife CO alarm with sealed batteries, the whole unit needs to be replaced. Harry Quote
