sadkk54 Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) I lost my pet last week when I went out for shopping and now I am planning to get this hidden surveillance camera and smoke detectors installed in my house. Is it also necessary to install carbon monoxide along with smoke detectors? Safelincs Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Hi While it may seem a bit extreme to monitor your house for a pet, the new Nest alarms offer smoke and CO protection as well as cameras, all linked to your mobile phone. Harry Quote
Guest Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Hi Harry, Is there in the market any other smoke/CO alarm competing with Nest on connection? By connection I mean the capability to be monitored or controlled via mobile device or PC. Do the RF interlinked have the capability to be controlled via mobile? Thank you Antonio Quote
Safelincs Posted March 16, 2016 Report Posted March 16, 2016 Hi Antonio, we used to sell Firetext alarms which sent a signal to your mobile. However, these were discontinued quite a while ago. I am aware of one or two other makes, but don't know enough about them to help. Normal RF alarms only 'talk to each other' rather than with your mobile. Harry Quote
