Matt Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) I have 3 Kidde mains smoke alarms in my three floor house. The ground floor won't stop chirping even though the battery is more than 90 per cent full. It is a single chirp every 30 secs or so. They are model No. 123/9HI and are about 10 years old. What can I do to stop this? Edited October 18, 2015 by Matt Spelling Quote
Safelincs Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 Hi Matt, smoke alarms ought to be replaced after ten year. However, make first of all sure that the chirping stops when the batteries are removed. If it does not stop you might have a CO alarm with a low battery somewhere hidden in the room. Harry Quote
