Guest EstherSimp Posted July 17, 2015 Report Posted July 17, 2015 Hi I would be grateful for some advice please. I have recently refurbished an old farmhouse. I am trying to get it signed off by building control. I have pine cladding, which I have white-washed on my landing. Apparently I need to paint this with fire proof paint. I would ideally like to keep the look I currently have. I would therefore be grateful if you could recommend which paint/varnish I should use on it, in order to comply with building regulations please. Many thanks Esther Quote
Tom Sutton Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 You need to clarify the standard the BCO requires I would imagine it is surface spread of flame to class 1, then simple Goole for “surface spread of flame to class 1” and you will get various links advertising suitable paints or emulsions, also make sure you will get a certificate to show to the BCO that the walls meet the required standard when finished.
