Guest Glendast Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 Our WI owns it's old building. It's 137 yrs old and we have done extensive fundraising over the years for its upkeep. We had a side door fitted 30 yrs ago. The door opens inwards because we don't own the paddock it opens into. We have fire drills and torches and high viz jackets for 2 fire wardens. The door is always unlocked during meetings. How do we stand with fire regs on such an old building. It's not listed, but comes under the village conservation regs and has to maintain its character for the village we live in. Help Quote
Tom Sutton Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 It depends on the number of people likely to use it in the event of an emergency, if it is less than 60 then it could be acceptable, what does the Fire Risk Assessment say? Quote
