Guest Singh Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Hi, I have bought several fire doors about a month ago. These doors were fitted and seemed to open and close fine. However recently they have been catching against the frame. My question is do fire doors expand more often than normal doors under normal conditions? Or is this due to the fitting? Am I likely to experience this often with fire doors or not? I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, Mr Singh Quote
Tom Sutton Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 I cannot see any reasons why a fire door should behave any differently than standard door other than the tolerances are fine, 3 mm +/- 1 mm, but these tolerances are the ones all good joiners have used over the years for all doors.
