Double fire doors rebated or surface mounted seals

I'm looking to for information on double fir door whether they can be rebated or not whether they should have intumescent strips on rebate or not

The center stile of double fire doors can be rebated but you will need to fix priority selecting device and it will require intumescent strip fixing.
