Guest MoMcG Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 How can you switch off power to a fire alarm panel? Is that in the fuse box or does there have to be a seperate switch? I have seen these with 'Fire Alarm - Do not switch off' written on them. Mo Quote
Safelincs Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 The fire alarm should have a direct spur from the fusebox. Within the fuse box, the fuse needs to be marked ‘fire alarm’. Between the fuse box and the fire alarm you need a double poled fuse (white or read without the need for further text). Both the connection in the fuse box and the double poled fuse must be installed by a Part 17 qualified electrician. Quote
green-foam Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 I have to ask, why would you want to disconnect a life safety system? Quote
