Guest WilliamKid Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 I am looking for code/standard for frequency of testing on fire rated doors. Have a test done in Feb 2002 but no tests apparently have been done since then. Would expect a manufacuturer would be required to retest products within a specific time frame, maybe every 5 years. Have not found specifics requirements for retesting. Where can I find this type of guidance/requirements. Thanks Quote
Guest Neil Ashdown Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 Looking at the test evidence you already have, does it state................... a) Name of the UKAS approved test house? B) Expiry date? For timber fire doors in the UK the standard is BS 476 part 20/22 and a copy can be purchased from BSI. If the door manufacturer belongs to a third party certification scheme such as Certifire there will be a certificate with the prefix CF and a copy can be downloaded at warringtoncertification.com If the above doesn't help I would advise you to contact the door manufacturer and ask for the latest fire test report or certificate.
