Can landlord remove personal belongings which are deemed a fire risk?

Hi, I have recently recieved a letter from my landlord stating that they have inspected the house and deemed it to be in non compliance with fire safety regulations. They have subsequently enlised the help of 3rd party contractors to come and remove personal belongings such as bikes and shoe racks from the home.

Is this allowed as I do not recall anyone attending an inspection and furthermore this is a house rather than a flat. In addition to this the so called inspector didn't even realise that the housing association has left the upstairs fire alarm in a state of disrepair.

Simple answer NO! a private domestic dwelling is not subject to the order only the common areas which stop at your front door. I am a cynic, if I was you I would inform your housing association and check them out, if they are genuine no problem.
