Guest BarryF Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Hi, How often is my company legally required to have a full evacuation of the building during a fire alarm test. Quote
Guest Tom Sutton Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 article 21 does not specify frequencies for fire drills but the official guidance does depending on the relevant guide for your premises. Check out http://www.firesafe....ety-order-2005/ for a link to the official guide. The guide to Shops and Offices Page 110 Fire safety training is the relevant section but it will vary depending on the type of premises, and says, Once the emergency plan has been developed and training given, you will need to evaluate its effectiveness. The best way to do this is to perform a fire drill. This should be carried out at least annually or as determined by your fire risk assessment. If you have a high staff turnover, you may need to carry them out more often. http://www.communities.gov.uk/fire/firesafety/firesafetylaw/ Quote
