My landlord has just had a new front door - fire door fitted - it opens onto a communal area. The label on the door says it is an FD30 door - see image. A Council bod, says the label can be replaced and state it is an FD30S door, I'm not so sure, but seek advice.

The gap at the bottom of the door is more than 10mm. I opened the door, placed a gap wedge on the carpet and let the door go and it went clean over it. I measured the gap and it was 14mm, at the bottom of the door, so I think the chippie - not a proper fire door installer  - who put the door in did a bad job. Also in places around the door there a gaps more than 4mm, .using the gap wedge to check. The door was fitted to an existing frame, not a new frame. Should the door have been fitted to a new frame?

On exiting my flat in the event of fire, I need to pass the kitchen, should the kitchen door be a FD30 door?
