We are opening a children’s care home.

we have fire doors fitted with intumescent smoke strips.

A couple of the doors don’t fully close with the friction or because of the room vacuum.

eg if a window is open they will close.

I’m sure we can adjust things but my question is… is it satisfactory, regarding regs, if we used the flat fire intumescent strips rather than brush.

I know, the brush ones block out smoke but I just want the doors to close and be compliant and need to know if either type of strip are sufficient.
