How to carry out as flick test to communal passageways

I work at a court (assisted living) for retired naval and army. For the last year I have been performing a flick test quick and easily to the 200 + Thorlux dot halo ceiling lights  on three floors that are Illuminated virtually all day as there is constant people walking up and down the passageways which trigger the sensors   .

Previous flick tests were simple by flicking  the MCB and all those lights running off that circuit turn off with just the emergency lights t staying on . So I can quickly and efficiently see if the emergency lights are all working as they should.

The manager has now requested I perform this task with a fishkey and Not to use the MCBs. The problem now is ALL the lights stay on when I flick the fish key up where as before all the lighting would switch off except for emergency lighting .

   Performing the fish key method is very slowwwwe now  as I have Corridors with 20 Thorlux  halo lights illuminated and it's hard to pick out  the emergency lights as the little green light obviously goes off in emergency mode .

  It was just so much faster via MCB flick trying .Is there not a simpler / quicker way with the fish key.

  I wish there was a switch I could temporarily turn passageway lighting off and then I could easily use the fish key to do the monthly emergency tests as this would allow for only the emergency lights to be illuminated I work at a court (assisted living) for retired naval and army. Emergency light test switches can be wired up so that all lighting has power cut as if the MCB was tripped, however some are wired only to cut the supply to each EL individually for H&S reasons so as not to have a safety risk (also a convenience issue) by loss of lighting.

Where the switches are set up like yours are it's not uncommon to mark the fittings with emergency packs with self adhesive coloured dots so it's easier to spot which ones you are checking.
