Threshold gap

Hi,

Can a brush draft excluder be used at the bottom of a fire door that has smoke control to reduce the spread of smoke? The gap is 3.5-5mm but I have been told it needs to be 3mm for smoke. The floor is uneven so a threshold strip may cause door leaf not to close.

A surface mounted door bottom seal can be used. But make sure the door doesn't stick on the floor covering and fail to self-close.
