Guest Steve A Posted December 14, 2023 Report Posted December 14, 2023 Hi If a manufactured solid wood FD30 door has the top leading edge corner cutoff by the site team am I right to say that this invalidates the door as it is no longer as tested and that they cannot simply remove 25mm of the chamfered edge and replace this with hard wood then fill and repaint. Also the doors are Todd Doors who state that they dont need stickers or plugs on teir doors as they have a certificate that covers all doors. Quote
AnthonyB Posted December 18, 2023 Report Posted December 18, 2023 From the manufacturer: Trimming Allowance To maintain the integrity of this door you may trim up to 3mm off each edge, up to 3mm off the top and up to 3mm off the bottom*. Trimming beyond this amount will invalidate this doors fire certification. Trimming Note In trimming any part of this door you will need to re-seal the exposed edges. In trimming the height the core may become exposed. Please contact a Door Expert about the appropriate finishes available for this door. Quote
