Guest Rebecca Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 I have two Deta 1163 smoke alarms. One is upstairs and the other one downstairs. I have changed the batteries and tested both of them and they are working. The one downstairs shows a constant green light only and the one upstairs displays a constant green light plus a flashing red light with no noise. Is it correct for them to be different as I think they are conected or is one of them not working. Quote
green-foam Posted October 2, 2023 Report Posted October 2, 2023 The green light indicates there is mains present. The red LED should flash once every 30-40 seconds to indicate all is well. The red LED will flash once every 8-10 seconds if the alarm has been silenced The red LED will flash once a second (and the sounder will be operating) if the unit is in alarm condition. What happens if you press the test button? Quote
