Intumescent kit around lock

Hi,

I've seen intumescent kits sold online. Are those mandatory for FD30 doors? I've checked my doors at home and none have intumescent around the locks.

Not mandatory but useful for filling gaps in untidy mortice work.  The fire door leaf installation instructions/product data sheet should provide information where these are required.

ok that means that if the lock has been installed properly these kits are not required?
