Guest Lukasz Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 Hi All, I am a leaseholder in a purpose build flat (2 ground and 4 1st floor flats) and the freeholder is proposing an expensive set of works based on a RA recommendations. Me and others would like to consult a person with relevant accreditation/competencies who may be able to advise which works are mandatory and which aren't. Could you advise where I should look for a relevant professional or service? Many thanks for any help you can provide. Best, Lukasz Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 26, 2023 Report Posted July 26, 2023 Hi, I've helped out people on this forum with similar situations, including where taking cases to Tribunal. I'm on the Fire Risk Assessors' Register. Quote
Guest Lukasz Posted July 29, 2023 Report Posted July 29, 2023 Thanks Tony! I have forwarded your details to the Leaseholder's Association dealing with this work proposal, who should get in touch. I should have mentioned that I am based in Cambridge, so talking face-to-face and showing you the Estate is most likely out of the question. Might you have any colleague based in Cambridge area that you may recommend as it would be easier? Many thanks! Quote
AnthonyB Posted July 31, 2023 Report Posted July 31, 2023 Possibly, but I can still give you some desktop pointers as to whether the requirements seem way off if I get copies of reports. Sometimes a block does require capital expenditure, but it's by no means a given. Quote
