Gap under door frame.

There is a gap under a fire rated door frame in our office which has finished flooring. The gap is about 25mm on both jambs. Can this be repaired with hardwood or would a new door set be required.

I would make a suitable repair by tightly splicing-in suitable timber to entirely fill the gap.
