Guest Nathan Posted March 3, 2023 Report Posted March 3, 2023 Hi Looking for some advice on where to locate fire exit signage. There is no room to place the signs above the doors or suspended from the ceiling due to clearance height issues. Only option is to place the signage on the wall either left or right of the door. My question being, if I for example mounted the sign to the left of the door would the exit arrow need to be pointing forward, or would the arrow need to point to the right (as its mounted to the left of the door)? Also I have some instances of doors that are 2.7m in height which exceeds the recommended mounting height above doors as stated in BS5499. Am I able to mount higher than the recommended height if the door is higher than this, or would I have to locate them on the wall next to the door as in the situation above? Many thanks Quote
