Kennedy123 Posted January 11, 2023 Report Posted January 11, 2023 Hi everyone, From my understanding fire doors need to be installed with tightly packed mineral wool with intumescent sealant on both sides between the door frame and opening to meet building regulations. However, was this required in 2001? My fire doors were fitted during this time and there appears to be a gap between the door and the opening - we are trying to understand whether this was a mistake by the contractor at the time of construction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
