Guest Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Hi I am designing a scheme for a Ferry Terminal and I would like for all my signs to be aluminum panels with stencil cut letters and back lit so the letters are illuminated. My exit signs would be back lit in green. Would it go against building regulations to have my exit signs in this design rather than the standard green and white? If not is this something you would be able to supply? Kind regards, J.T Quote
Garry Webster Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Dear J.T We could certainly look to specially manufacture something for you, the rules on the legend design are strictly supposed to be Green and White, however this can be down to the particular fire officer in the area - rules can tend to be bent a little bit sometimes depending. It would be my advice to contact the local fire officer and see what the reaction from them is. If they say it will be ok I can look to price them up for you. We would need to laser cut the aluminium and bespoke manufacture the fitting. Please bear in mind there would be a premium to pay for such product - I would not be able to give an idea of price until I had drawings to work from. Kind regards Garry Quote
