Hi there could I have some advise please in regards to an FD30 fire door fitted on a busy corridor. Is it ok to have a pull handle (300mm stainless steel bow handle) which bolts right through the door the bolt is counter sunk into the timber and then covered with a stainless steel push plate. I thought this would compromise the integrity of the door, I thought the pull handle should be screwed to the surface of the fire door with a rose. Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Most timber-based fire doors allow bolt through pull handles under certain conditions.  However, to be certain whether this applies to your door you should contact the door manufacturer for advice.
