MFD Posted September 14, 2022 Report Posted September 14, 2022 Hi All, Does anyone know what the minimum/ maximum recommended time delay is between hearing the audible fire alarm activation voice messages and the intermittent sounders that follow that message. This is for an 8 story open planned cooperate office building. Many thanks MFD Quote
MFD Posted September 14, 2022 Author Report Posted September 14, 2022 Just to mention this is for a phased evacuation Quote
AnthonyB Posted September 14, 2022 Report Posted September 14, 2022 It should be the other way around on a loop. Voice alarm systems should generally operate in the following repeating sequence (BS5839-8): Attention-drawing signal – lasting 2 s to 10 s followed by Brief silence – lasting 1 s to 2 s followed by Evacuate message followed by Silence – lasting 2 s to 5 s Quote
