Frame Lipping

Hi 

Is it possible to lip the top of the frame to close the gap at the head of the doors to the frame on a nominal door?

Its a debatable thing as nominal fire doors are a compremise and if a lot of work is required they should be changed for a full spec fire door.

Be careful using timber lipping.  There are requirements that timber lipping has a minimum density, min and max dimensions and that a suitable adhesive is used.
