steve m Posted February 28, 2022 Report Posted February 28, 2022 Good evening all, I have tried to find the information to give a definitive answer, but to no avail. Can anyone tell me, with regards to fire proof curtains and drapes, if it has passed NFPA 701 -2015, which It appears is primarily a US standard but accepted around the globe, is it acceptable under BS5867, and therefore acceptable in HMOs etc. Thanks in advance for you assistance. Tom Sutton Posted March 5, 2022 Report Posted March 5, 2022 They are two different tests NFPA 701 is a propagation test for fabrics and BS5867 is a flammability test for Fabrics for curtains, drapes and window blinds so it is difficult to compare them. Therefore I would suggest you use the British Standard in the UK as it is specific for curtains and drapes. Quote
