Guest EddieRunc Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 I was advised recently that in a fire evacuation situation, assembly point roll calls are no longer required, but that fire wardens are allocated areas to carry out a sweep to ensure that all employees have evacuated the building. They then report to the fire service on arrival on areas which have been "swept" or not. This is so that the fire service can target areas where potentially it is known where there may be personnel unaccounted for ? Quote
Tom Sutton Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 It has never been a requirement it all depends on your fire safety strategy and your fire evacuation policy. The most important consideration is that it works and should be tested by practical methods. (Fire Drills) Check out http://fire.org.uk/f...hp?topic=5132.0 for a discussion on this very matter. Quote
