Wondering if anyone can help me with where I stand on leading edges. I use a wide variety of fire doors and I'm constantly reading global assessments daily for my work. But one thing that is rarely covered is "Can I but a bevel on the leading edge on a fire door to aid the closing?". Nearly all doors need the back edge of the stile on the closing side beveling so that it doesn't hit the frame and gives some clearance.
Some global assessments allow a 2.5deg bevel (but still refer you to the max gaps section) and others don't mention anything.
Thoughts?
