  1. Thank you both, this really clarifies things. I truly appreciate your responses.
  2. Hi there, I have noticed some comments online that certified hardware such as hinges are not required on fire doors and any plain hinges are suitable, I just want to clear this in my head. From what I understand, certificates like CF218 specify that hinges must be CE Marked according to EN1935 for use on 30-minute fire door assemblies. Doesn’t this make CE Marked hinges mandatory, rather than just a recommendation? Thank you.
  3. Thanks, guys, Mike, it is double glazed so as Neil mentioned, it is not fire-rated. We just received some news, it doesn't have to be a fire door. Many thanks, guys!
  4. Hi All, I need assistance determining whether our front door, located on the ground floor of a courtyard with a gate in a block of flats, is fire-rated. Please see attached. The frame is timber all around, glass is double-glazed with bs marks on it. VELFAC RIBO A2 20715-5740 1118 189745213-6 Apologies for the quality of the pictures.
  5. Thank you Neil for getting back to me so quickly. The manufacturer is not on the market anymore, unfortunately, but that`s what I was thinking too, due to the bottom seal.
  6. Hi there, I have a question regarding the gap at the bottom of the door, I have a riser door with a full frame all around, but at the bottom, the so-called threshold is part of the frame, my question is if this gap is treated as a gap around the (2mm - 4mm) or as a bottom gap up to 10mm.
